In relationships, we all long to feel seen, heard, and understood. Yet even strong couples can find themselves caught in patterns of distance, conflict, or silence. Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) is a gentle, research-based approach that helps partners rediscover connection by exploring the deeper emotions beneath those patterns.
Rather than focusing on who is “right” or “wrong,” EFT looks at the underlying needs for closeness, security, and reassurance that often remain unspoken. Together, we slow down the cycle of tension and create space for new conversations—ones that build trust, soften defensiveness, and open the door to genuine intimacy.
While many couples use therapy to strengthen and deepen their relationship, sometimes the process also reveals that the healthiest path forward is to separate. If this becomes clear, EFT provides a supportive framework to navigate that transition with respect, understanding, and care—so that both partners can move forward with dignity and emotional clarity.
My role is to guide you with warmth and presence, helping each partner feel understood as you explore what your relationship needs. Whether you choose to repair, reconnect, or part ways thoughtfully, you don’t have to do it alone.
Please feel free to contact me regarding couples therapy if you have any questions or wish to make an appointment.
Sincerely,
Gwen
