Everything we discuss and all data recorded is strictly confidential. If consultation with third parties is desirable for you, this is possible, but only with your express permission.
Your PrivacyFor proper treatment it is necessary that I, as the treating therapist, keep a file. This is also a legal obligation imposed by the WGBO. Your file contains notes on your state of health and information about the treatments carried out. Also included in the file are data that are necessary for your treatment and that I, after your explicit consent, have requested from another healthcare provider, such as the family doctor.
I do my best to guarantee your privacy. This means, among other things, that I:
As your therapist I am the only one who has access to the information in your file and I have a legal obligation of confidentiality (professional secrecy). The data in your file can also be used for the following purposes:
If I want to use your data for any other reason, I will inform you first and ask your explicit permission. This data in the client file will remain as required by the law on the treatment agreement for 15 years, unless you request its destruction. In that case the permission granted below will expire.
Being affiliated with a professional association means that as a psychodynamic therapist I must meet strict requirements to practice my profession. This guarantees quality and good care for you as a client.
Professional associations with which I am registered;
If you have a complaint about a session or treatment, I encourage you to discuss it with me first so we can explore a resolution together. Should this not lead to a satisfactory outcome, you have the right to contact an independent complaints officer. This person can support you in formulating your complaint or expressing your dissatisfaction and will help in searching for a solution.
As a therapist, I have the right to be informed of any complaints. My practice is affiliated with Quasir, an organization that provides professional complaints mediation. If the involvement of the complaints officer or the handling of your complaint does not meet your expectations, you may contact the Zorggeschil Disputes Committee. For more information, please visit the website of my professional association VBAG: https://vbag.nl/consument/klachten-en-geschillen/
You can count on careful and expert guidance throughout the complaints process. With this procedure, I comply with the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz) — and, above all, I am committed to maintaining and improving the quality of care I provide.
